I went down that road myself with the Kingkiller Chronicles, which i enjoyed very much, but i may die before it is ever completed.Hayley Lazo (illustrator). I do not want to start my kids on a series that might never be completed. I decided that possibly reddit might be more helpful. Is there going to be a 6th book, and if so, is there a schedule for when it might be released? I tried googling this and found a lot of nebulous and non-committal pieces of information. I've looked at Sanderson's web site and frankly, it's a bit hard to navigate or find information on. I'm concerned that the first 5 books have been out for a number of years, but reviews say the 5th book ends with a cliffhanger and it's been many years since it was written. It looks like something they would both love and might be a great series to start reading together as a family. I have a 12 year old daughter and and 8 year old son, and i've stumbled across Sanderson's Alcatraz and the Evil Librarians series. I've been reading fantasy since college in the late 70's, but i just finished the Mistborn Era 1 trilogy and i'm very impressed with his storytelling. I'm somewhat new to the Brandon Sanderson literary world.
